Once we have offered a publication agreement and you have accepted, we will begin the publication process. Below is a general description of that process.

  1. The manuscript is formatted into chapters, sections, front matter, back matter, etc., for eBook and Print.
  2. Proofreading of the manuscript to correct any basic typos or other errors.
  3. We send a print Galley Proof for your review of formatting or typographical errors. We repeat this stage until we are both satisfied. (Every published book has errors. Our goal is to make sure we have corrected to the best of our ability, and caught all significant errors.) Once this galley proof is approved by you and we go to publication, we cannot make any changes for three months. After that we can make editorial changes to the book once per year.
  4. Out designer begins working on the cover during this time. If you have not already done so, you can offer suggestions and samples through this form. We have final approval of the cover as the publisher, consistent with our brand, but we appreciate any input from our authors and strive to work with you for your satisfaction.)
  5. We send the cover to you for your review. (We can begin pre-order Publication at this point, if you choose.)
  6. Once we are satisfied with the interior and exterior, we send the eBook for distribution and the print files to our printers and distributors. See a list of our distributors and printers here.
  7. We send you one publication copy for free, and you can order as many author copies at your author discount as you wish.
  8. We promote the book through our press releases, monthly newsletter, and our social media accounts. The latter is done once a week for two weeks, then once a month for ten months, and periodically thereafter. (We can also partner with you to help promote it with sending review copies, promotional discounts, advertising Graphics, and more..)
  9. We provide you with sales reports on months 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months after publication, and annually after that.
  10. You receive royalties on your book sales every January or February for the proceeding year.
